Author Biography

Mrs. Cinde Wollenberg serves as the Reading Specialist at Independence High School in Ashburn, VA. Mrs. Wollenberg grew up in Western PA, but has lived in the Shenandoah Valley for most of her adult life. She received a BA in English and a BA in Vocal Music from Chatham College in Pittsburgh, PA and holds a Masters in Reading from UVA. Prior to working for Loudoun County, Mrs. Wollenberg worked in Rockingham County and Shenandoah County. She has spent over twenty years in education as a classroom English teacher and a Reading Specialist. She has taught all levels of English Language Arts students from grades 6-12. She is a Master Teacher for the Virginia New Teacher Support Program, and has completed VDOE micro credentials in Gifted Education and Teaching with Empathy. When she’s not in school she loves to adventure with her family and be outside with her dog.
