Abstract
Motivation: There are many types of alert systems located in care centers and homes. They are intended to provide rapid response to various needs. Some response times can be reduced more efficiently with technological improvements. I want to explore the response times for each of the alert systems that I will discuss, and provide solutions that could reduce the time it takes to receive assistance.
Problem Statement: Find solutions that can reduce response time. I want to explore intrusion alarm systems, and discuss how the response times can vary among them. I will explore hospital call systems and provide better solutions for reduced response time to patients. I will discuss medical alert systems for the elderly and how response time varies.
Approach: I have done significant amounts of research and searched for ways that response time can be reduced. I have searched for various books, articles, and online resources for much of my analysis.
Results: There are solutions that can help reduce response time for each of these types of alert systems. Hospital nurse call systems are seemingly the most favored in providing efficient response time to patients because of the increased technological improvements.
Conclusions: My implications are that technology is advancing in multiple areas at a faster rate, thus providing various ways that people can respond faster in emergency situations.
