Abstract
The social responsibility of a corporation is one of the most significant and controversial aspects of establishing a respectable business. The following discussion will include statements regarding the social responsibility of corporations. Subsequently, there will be a discussion of the benefits and costs of businesses that decide to become socially responsible. In addition, the majority of the paper will deal with the environmental responsibility of businesses and examine the methods in which they accomplish this duty. Despite the costs and negativity associated with businesses turning their focus to other things besides profits, social responsibility is a good way to present a favorable public profile. The social and environmental responsibility of businesses is becoming more popular while embracing an increasing amount of companies, which ultimately leads to benefits and controversies that surround this idea of the responsible business. The social and environmental responsibility of business can create a favorable public profile as well as benefits such as higher profits if all the factors and consequences are taken into consideration.
