Abstract
This honors project will deal with the different ways children learn information. Specifically, I will discuss how the dominant hemisphere of the brain effects a child's ability to understand new material, use this information and later recall the information taught. I will also be including information that can be applied in a classroom such as how to determine which side of the brain is dominant for a specific student, in order to best meet his/her educational needs. Teaching strategies will also be looked into in order to learn and develop ways in which all children, regardless of dominant brain hemisphere, can be the most successful.
