Abstract

The article presents a literary criticism of the collection of poems entitled "Korean Love Songs From Klail City Death Trip" of the Klail City Death Trip Series and the book "The Useless Servants" by Rolando Hinojosa. The author focuses on themes of masculinity and war. Additional topics include the books' examination of the Korean War through Mexican American protagonist Rafe Buenrostro, as well as themes of cultural identity, place, hierarchy, and homosocial interaction.
