Description

One of the important aspects of design was to create color contrast: the blue spruce (Picea pungens var. glauca globosa, Pinaceae) in the foreground, then the Golden Mop (Chamaecyparis pisfera, Cupressaceae), then the Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum var. dissectum, Aceraeae) in the distance, goldenrod (Solidago sp., Asteraceae) adjacent to it, and the Crepe Myrtle (Laegerostroma sp., Lyrhraceae) in the back.
