Abstract

The purpose of this paper will be to provide a technical tutorial/illustration of using a Motorola/Freescale MC68HC908AP32 microcontroller to control several systems of an autonomous robot. It will also describe the construction of custom electronic circuitry to support the robot's systems. The ultimate goal is to show understanding of an embedded project that is designed from the ground up. This includes planning, parts research, using data sheets, code design, testing, and debugging.
