Abstract
SQL queries can be highly useful and powerful when it comes to displaying information and communicating to different users of a system. With the proper set up of a database, information is able to be manipulated, organized and analyzed through specific conditions to present a summary to create future implications or ideas. With my seminar project I have created unique SQL queries in hopes to help make organization and planning a lot easier for our future students here at Bridgewater College. I have created a PHP/HTML application that is able to assist with student course scheduling here at Bridgewater College. With being able to search your transcript through entering a student's ID number you are able to pull up the students' transcript with a listing of every course he or she has taken here at Bridgewater College along with their grade. With the new functionality added to the program, students now have the option of examining courses they will need in order to graduate. This paper will examine and analyze the different encounters that come about with approaching a project as such. It will explain in great detail PHP/HTML coding and how the two languages work together in order to accommodate a user's request. We will examine the different capabilities of SQL queries and the different commands that fall within the language. Through my project and paper I will also display a number of different activities that can be performed with the information after the query is performed.
