Abstract
This paper describes the design, implementation, and overall process that went into building a book cataloguing software that takes speech input, converts it to an integral ISBN number, looks up the relevant information on Amazon.com, and records said information in a database. It emphasizes the novelty of combining the Sphinx4 open-source speech recognition library and the Amazon Web Services Application Programming Interface in what's called a mashup.
