Abstract
Sports coverage is highly focused on the image of the sport and how the fans experience the sport. Technology plays a huge part of that. The technology that's used to maintain the display of the game as well as the technology that holds the statistics that keeps fans fully aware about what's going on in the game. The IT department has to work with programmers to create these programs and they have to keep them up to date. Without this, the experience of watching sports on television would decrease rapidly which would send the value of the NFL to a rapid decrease as well. For that reason, technology is one of the most important, if not the most important piece that goes into sports coverage. The technologies of sports coverage can be the difference between a mediocre sports coverage company and a great sports coverage company.
