Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to summarize the medical research I participated in for two years at Duke University and Bridgewater College. I will show that research efforts and data results don't always evolve into the form or format expected. I will explain and analyze the data gathered from my research work at Duke University and show that even without desired empirical data at Bridgewater College, that research projects can be educational, meaningful, and rewarding. This paper will also present evidence that with the proper support, a small liberal arts school can work jointly with a large medical research hospital and university.
