Abstract
Current agricultural initiatives are adhering to sustainable methods of food production. The debate exists as to whether the use of fewer inputs, such as fertilizer, pesticides, and irrigation, can produce sufficient yields. An investigation of the Green Revolution's successes and failures, modern agriculture, and the movement toward sustainability will lend a greater understanding to best practices for addressing food insecurity in developing countries.
