A Botanical Tour of the Bridgewater College Campus, 1972-2007 by Dr. L. Michael Hill, H.G.M. Jopson Professor of Biology, Emeritus
The Bridgewater College campus was my personal library-laboratory for teaching about the plant kingdom. I made extensive use of it throughout my 35-year teaching career. This collection, or arboretum, went through its own evolution, especially after input from a Landscape Architect.
Some of these plant species are no longer with us. Some succumbed to disease, or were victimized by campus construction. Some just crumbled under their own weight.
This was assembled for the Alumni of the College because it might be a tour which ought to be both sentimental as well as educational.
